January 2008 Minto Flats Moose Hunt : These photographs and accompanying narrative summarize the moose hunt Ian and I went on in mid-January 2008. The slideshow is relatively short, but for those of you who can’t wait for the punch line, the story boils down nicely: I successfully harvested my first big game animal and Ian produced like he has consistently in the past. The primary theme of the trip was sustained physical exertion to the max, but considering the outcome these two hunters wouldn’t likely trade an ounce of it for the world.

August 2009 Charley River Float Hunt : Photographs included herein were taken 22 through 28 August 2009 while floating the Charley River (and a portion of the Yukon River) of eastern Interior Alaska. Nick and Devan were visiting Alaska for the first time and this float hunt marked Pat's second annual fall hunting trip to Alaska. The Charley proved to be an amazing river, and is referred to by at least one source as “…one of Alaska’s best whitewater rivers.” We immensely enjoyed our time on the Charley, but I will let the photographs and accompanying short captions tell the stories.
